Our Medical and Dental Negligence Solicitors have secured compensation in many different types of negligence claims against GPs, dentists, surgeons and hospitals. This is a complex area of the law and it is important to choose lawyers with the specialist expertise to help you.
Time Limit For Making A Claim
In Northern Ireland, you have 3 years from the date of injury to bring a claim. Sometimes that time limit can be extended. For example, if you are not aware that an injury has occurred until sometime afterwards, you have 3 years from the date of knowledge of the negligence to make a claim.
In the case of children, the 3 years starts to run on their 18th birthday.
Solicitors at Stewarts Solicitors are members of the Action Against Medical Accidents (AvMA) and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Stewarts Solicitors have been involved in complex GP, dental and hospital negligence investigations and cases. For example, we were involved in the first Inquest in Northern Ireland in to the death of a stillborn baby.

You may be entitled to legal funding to investigate/bring a claim and we can also discuss that with you.
