Grainne Heaney

LLB

Grainne having obtained a National Certificate in Legal Studies at Letterkenny I.T. went on to graduate from Queens University, Belfast with an Honours degree in Law in 2002. Prior to her being admitted as a Solicitor in 2004 she spent time undergoing specialised projects with both Women's Aid in Belfast and the Department of Social Services in New York. Further to being admitted Grainne has specialised in Matrimonial Law, now heading the Family and Matrimonial Department at Stewarts. Grainne also undertakes work in both areas of Litigation and Criminal.
Grainne is both an accredited member of the Children Order Panel and a trained Collaborative Lawyer.

 

Paul Mallon

LLB

Paul studied at Queen's University Belfast, graduating in 1990. In 1991 Paul obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Administration and Legal Studies before moving to England to work. Paul was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales in 1998 and was admitted to the Law Society's Family Law and later the Family Law (Advanced) Panels. Returning to live and work in Northern Ireland in 2006 Paul now practices in the areas of Family/Matrimonal Law and Civil Litigation.
Paul Mallon is both an accredited member of the Children Order panel and a trained Collaborative lawyer.

 

Janeen McKay

LLB

Janeen was educated at Strathearn School, Belfast and Queens University, Belfast where she graduated with an Honours Degree in Law in 2004. Janeen joined Stewarts in 2004 and initially worked as a paralegal while completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester on a part time basis. Janeen completed her training contract with the firm and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England & Wales in 2010 and in Northern Ireland in 2011.
Janeen specializes in the areas of Wills and Probate, Residential Conveyancing, Civil Litigation and Matrimonial Law.

 

Una Fitzgerald

LLB

Una graduated from Queens University Belfast with an Honours Degree in Law with Politics in 2000. Una completed the Legal Practice Course at London Guildhall University in 2001, and following training was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales in July 2003. Since qualification, Una has chosen to specialise in Family and Children Law, with a keen interest in Divorce and Ancillary Relief, having practised at a prominent London Law Firm. Una returned to Northern Ireland in 2007, and continues to practice in all areas of Family and Children Law. Una also assists clients in respect of general litigation and criminal matters.
Una Fitzgerald is both an accredited member of the Children Order panel and a trained Collaborative lawyer.

 

Thomas Malcolmson

LLB

Thomas returned home to N Ireland and joined Stewarts in 2011 having studied and then practised law in England for a number of years. Thomas’ areas of interest include succession and tax planning through wills and trusts and the administration of estates. Thomas can also advise on Office of Care and Protection matters including Powers of Attorney and applications to appoint a Controller

 

Joanne Moody

LLM

Joanne returned home to Northern Ireland in 2006 with her young family, following a successful career in the City of London and Greece, where she worked for Ince & Co, currently the Global Shipping Law Firm of the Year. Joanne advises on all aspects of marine and transport law (including aviation), insurance and general commercial disputes. Joanne is mentioned in the Chambers UK Solicitors Guide 2011 as a notable practitioner in her field "well regarded for her insurance and marine casualty practice, where she has acquired an impressive range of expertise. She is also one of Stewarts' professional negligence lawyers and advises on corporate manslaughter issues. Joanne is admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in England and Wales and in Northern Ireland.

 

Debbie Mills

“Debbie was educated at Larne Grammar School and Queen’s University, Belfast where she graduated with an Honours Degree in Law with Politics in 2007. She obtained her Certificate in Professional Legal Studies from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies, Queen’s University Belfast, with merit, and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in November 2009. Debbie undertakes work in all areas of residential conveyancing together with working in the areas of civil litigation, wills and probate and matrimonial law”.
